In just two days this course will leave you equipped to facilitate your very own design sprint. You will get and in-depth understanding of every single exercise in the design sprint methodology. The course will be focused around a real problem that the group will solve together through every step of the process. The participants will be left with real hands on experience in solving a problem through the Design Sprint process. The participants will also receive all the materials they need to run a Design Sprint after the course.

What is a Design Sprint?

A design sprint is a 4 day process for solving complex issues through design methodology, prototyping and testing on real users. The process was developed by Jake Knapp, John Zeratsky and Braden Kowitz when they worked at Google Ventures. Originally the process took five days, but an updated 4 day version has been developed. In our courses we teach the 4-day workshop.

In this course you will:

  • Gain practical knowledge about Design Sprint as a process and how it has become one of the world’s leading methods in service and product design.
  • Gain an understanding of the difference between Design Thinking and Design Sprint
  • Gain knowledge and understanding of what problems you can solve in a Design Sprint, and in which cases you should not
  • Get a thorough introduction to the methodology, with a deep dive into each exercise and the background for it
  • Get practical practice in facilitating a Design Sprint through structured group exercises
  • The opportunity to work with a self-chosen case throughout the course so that real value is reflected in the workshop
  • Increased confidence in one’s own ability as a process facilitator through mastery of methodology
  • Knowledge of tools and technology that support the process
